brazilian recipes that will spice up your thanksgiving
Nua is so thankful for you and we want to celebrate this giving season by sharing some of my favorite traditional Brazilian recipes that everyone will enjoy! These delicious recipes will have all your friends coming back for more, I can promise you.

Pão de Queijo

- Total: 30 mins
- Yield: 30 cheese rolls
Ingredients
- 4 cups tapioca flour
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 tablespoons oil
- 1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions
Step 1
preheat oven to 400F degrees with a rack in the middle.
combine the milk, water, oil, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add the tapioca flour to the bowl of a stand mixer and once the milk mixture boils, pour it over the flour. Mix really well. The texture should be white and sticky!
Step 3
While the mixer is still on, add the eggs, one at a time. This will take a bit of time for the eggs to mix but you've got this babe! Then add the cheese a little at a time.
Step 4
Now it's time to get your hands a little dirty. Wet your hands with cold water and begin scooping the dough with a spoon. You want them to be the size of a golf ball or smaller.
Place the balls on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and begin baking.
Step 5
Bake for 15-20 min or until they are golden and puffed! I can promise you that these will be gone in no time!

Classic Brigadeiros

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup chocolate sprinkle, as needed
Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter, condensed milk, and cocoa powder in a pot over low heat until you can see the pot for 2-3 seconds when dragging the spatula through. DO NOT STOP STIRRING!
Step 2
Pour onto a greased plate and chill for one hour, you deserve it after all that stirring!
Step 3
Shape and roll the mixture into balls and roll them in chocolate sprinkles.

Brazilian Caipirinha Cocktail

- Servings: 1 Caipirinha
Ingredients
- 1-2 limes sliced in half and remove the pith
- 1-2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 oz of cachaca
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
- Crushed ice
Instructions
Step 1
In a cocktail shaker, combine the limes with sugar and use a muddler to gently crush and squeeze out the lime juice.
Step 2
Add the cachaca with lime juice and shake well. Pour into a short glass with crushed ice and stir.
Serve with a lime garnish & have everyone wishing you made them this drink sooner!
